Selling a home is a stressful process. From staging to positioning, a seller’s goal is to differentiate their house from all the others on the market. That’s what Neel Dayal, the owner of 25 Saunders Ave., hoped to accomplish when he created a WordPress website for his listing. The only problem, setting up the website wasn’t as easy as Neel thought it would be.
HOW I HELP
After Neel struggled with the testy WordPress template he purchased, he asked me to take over his brochure website build. I cleaned up the copy, streamlined the content flow and tweaked the code to hide some features that weren’t necessary within the presentation. I optimized the images for a more efficient user experience on tablet and mobile, all of which on a very tight timeline.

THE RESULTS
Time was of the essence, as Neel and his wife wanted to circulate the site before the market stalled throughout the holiday season. In three days I had the one-page site ready for viewings and just days after the realtor distributed the site to the media, a very impressed editorial team at The Globe and Mail featured the listing as their ‘Home of the Week.’ The Dayal’s received multiple offers within hours of publishing and less than 24-hours later the home sold. Mission accomplished.
